God has chosen you!

If you are reading past the first line, this means YOU! The seed that was planted in you at some point in your life has blossomed. God is calling you closer to Him. Jesus explained the seed and the sower in Matthew chapter 13.

3 Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. 6 But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. 8 But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Matthew 13:3-9

You have been given the gift of The Spirit to understand the parable. Jesus explains as we read further. Keep in mind verse 8 as you read further- yielding a crop…

10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” 11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive;
Matthew 13:10-14

Jesus explains that you understand because The Spirit has given you the wisdom to understand.

So we must then look at the seeds-

Verse 4
maybe you seed are the fell by the way side, that seed is quickly devoured by the birds, or lies of the enemy.

Verse 5
was your seed planted in rocky soil? growing with shallow roots only to be gone quickly by the worldy lies of the devil? Maybe you were quick in spirit but soon drifted away. Maybe you have distanced yourself from God and it is time to repent, renew and be restored…. I will pray with you.

verse 7
Maybe the seed planted was planted amongst the thorns of your life. Still there, but choled out by your worry, sorrow, troubles, and pain. Maybe you wonder where God is in this moment. Maybe you are struggling with having a relationship with God because you are too caught up in your worldly troubles. God is bigger than your problems. He doesn’t want any of us to do things alone. There is nothing too big for Him. But do not dismiss the small things, there is NOTHING too small for Him either. He wants to be your source of everything. He is YOUR creater. Be desires a closness with you that even the most mundane and tiniest of problems or concern would be shared with Him. He is YOUR Father!

Verse 8
Maybe your seed is planted in fertile ground. It is time for you to bear fruit! You need to share His good news! Be a disciple maker as Jesus commands!

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Matthew 28:19

Jesus also tells us he is vine. He is telling us that only through Him can we accomplish the command God gives. We must have a relationship with Him and seek Him constantly.

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:5

Be the good seed! Be rooted in Him. Seek first The Kingdom of God and His righteousness! Then go to work! Go forth spreading the good news out of the goodness of your spirit! Be the branch and bear fruit! Nothing is more fulfilling in life than Serving God! You don’t have to be a pastor to be a minister….
